Laptop battery pricing depends heavily on the brand and whether the battery is internal or external. Business laptops (ThinkPad, Latitude) tend to be easier and cheaper; ultrabooks with glued-in batteries take longer. Walk in for a firm quote.
Yes — ROG, Alienware, Omen, Legion, Razer, MSI. Gaming laptops have specific thermal issues we see a lot: fan failure, dried thermal paste, and dust blockage causing throttling. A thermal service is often all that's needed to bring one back to life.
In most cases, yes — we can pull the storage drive out and read it separately. If the drive itself has failed mechanically the recovery is more involved and the quote changes, but we'll tell you what's possible before charging anything.
Yes, where the laptop allows it. Many older laptops see a huge speed boost from a HDD-to-SSD upgrade. We'll check whether your specific model supports an upgrade and quote parts plus labour. Data is migrated from the old drive as part of the job.
